Where do I begin a post such as this? After almost fifteen years of marriage (my first and only), I now find myself single once again [she initiated her affair and the divorce is amicable], and as I sit here and write this I’m feeling quite a bit lonely in my new surroundings. This past weekend (March lbs (good medium build and in-shape), 34" waist, deep brown eyes, short dark brown hair, brown and gray facial hair and fairly smooth or hairless (naturally) everywhere else. I'm a ''vampire,'' with natural fangs and pale skin, so if you're expecting buff and tan you may want to continue looking elsewhere. I, personally, don’t think I’m anything ultra-spectacular to look at; however, I do receive regular compliments from female friends and associates who me ‘sexy’ and usually tell me I smell good. I’m a self-confessed "workaholic"; however, I recently gave-up a good job and nice house in the Tampa area to come care for my mother. I’m quite fond of all animals, especially domestic pets (cats and dogs) and big cats and their welfare. In my recent separation I’ve had to leave 3 cats behind, but I think it’s in their best interest since they’ve grown up together. I currently have three feline roommates, Harley, Sadie Alexis. I’m not an overwhelming fan of rap/hip-hop or country but I can put-up with it in limited doses. I’m a long-retired musician (percussionist) and band manager and have lasting ties in the industry; however, my days of touring had a negative effect revolving around the use of drugs and alcohol. I’ve been free of ‘chemicals’ and have not had a drink in over 15 years and I’m sure I’m alive now because of the change. Yet I still have my vices such as cigarettes and an occasional puff of quality herb. I’m truly trying to quit smoking cigarettes, but the stress of caring for my mother, amongst other drama, have hindered me from doing so. I don’t judge those who do drink or smoke, or enjoy an occasional ‘high' (within reason) .. But I don’t want to surround myself in that negative element again.
I appreciate great food especially steaks and sushi. I ‘groove’ on attending concerts, trips to the amusement park (huge fan of roller coasters!) and enjoy spending the day shooting photographs at the zoo. I like to drive as it allows me time to think and create; although, I’m usually too damn lazy to write any of it down. I used to enjoy going to movies more frequently, but haven’t had much time or the good company to truly enjoy a film lately. Love comedies! I’m a fan of anything by Mel Brooks or Kevin Smith, if that gives you any idea of my sense of humor.
My mother is currently battling cancer, recent complex brain surgery, heart issues and rehabilitation. My mom and my family mean a great deal to me, and my real friends ARE my family regardless of how long I’ve known them. There isn’t much I wouldn’t do (within reason and legal limits) for someone I truly care about. I used to be over-caring to a fault, but recent events have certainly changed that. I’m now a bit more reserved with my sincere feelings.
